Troubleshooting

BlurCam isn't detecting a face I can clearly see
Detection works best when a face is reasonably large in frame, turned roughly toward the camera, and in decent light. It can miss faces that are far away, in strong profile, partly covered, or in low light. Move closer or improve the lighting and detection usually catches up within a frame or two. This is best-effort, not a guarantee — always review a clip before sharing it.
My recording stopped at 9 seconds
Recording now requires BlurCam Premium, and subscribed recordings have no time limit. The annual plan starts with a 3-day free trial. If your recordings still stop at 9 seconds, you are on an older version of the app: update BlurCam in the App Store.
I subscribed but BlurCam still asks me to subscribe
Open the paywall and tap Restore Purchase. If it still doesn't unlock, check Settings › your Apple Account name › Subscriptions to confirm the purchase completed, then email us with the date.
Can I get a refund?
Refunds are issued by Apple, not by us — we can't process them directly. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com or in Settings › your Apple Account name › Subscriptions.
The app can't access my camera or microphone
Check Settings › BlurCam and turn Camera and Microphone on. Recording needs camera access; without the microphone your recordings will simply be silent.
Videos aren't saving to my Photos library
BlurCam needs "Add Photos Only" permission — check Settings › BlurCam › Photos. If storage is low it stops recording and saves what it has, and won't start a new recording below about 500 MB free.
How do I delete a recording?
BlurCam saves straight to your Photos library and keeps no separate copy. Delete it in the Photos app like any other video.
